FREESTYLE PAINTINGS

This is a more loosely-applied painting style than the traditional style described below. Freestyle can be soft and lush, or spontaneously playful, with an unpredictable freedom of expression by the artist. My Freestyle paintings can be a mixture of drawing and painting, or all paint. The client is asked to indicate the type of Freestyle preferred. (See captions marked "Freestyle" on the pet portraits page.) Whether the mood of your pet's photo is graceful or exuberant, this unconventional style captures it in a fresh new way, which is part of its charm.

Introductory Freestyle Prices

TRADITIONAL PAINTINGS

Because a traditional painting is more slowly and carefully thought out and built up, pricing cannot be determined on a "one size fits all" basis. For this reason, the prices and sizes listed below are approximate, based on the medium, size and amount of detail requested. Once we have clarified the photo to be used and the kind of portrait you would like, you will receive an estimate that is based on your order.

Note: Watercolor picture area is 3.5" to 4.5" smaller than paper size per side to
allow for mat.

NOTE FOR ALL DRAWINGS: Picture area is scaled to mats cut for standard frame sizes, so the artwork can be protected. Therefore, the mat's window opening determines the dimensions of the portrait. Standard mat widths are about 3.5" to 4.5" per side, depending on frame size.
